  2. This morning I watched the All Blacks bt Los Pumas to win the Rugby Championship without a loss so far, still some games to go, but we can't be beaten. This avo I mowed my lawns in the blazing sunshine, and as I'm a fat bastard it almost killed me, so much so, that I had to postpone my planned bike ride until tomorrow.

  4. Don't feel sorry for me, every Kg is well earned!! ;) Plus it will give me all day to ride tomorrow in brilliant sunshine on deserted roads. :upyeah:

  7. Always ride alone, mainly because I want to, and because I'm a shift worker, 4 on 4 off, days only, so most of the time my mates are at work. I'm not going to any RWC games, too expensive and hard to get tickets, better view and cheaper beer at home on TV anyway. ;)

  9. Took part in the Distinguished Gentlemen's Ride based at Borough Market (near London Bridge). Over 600 bikes of every conceivable variety, and riders dressed in suitable costumes. Met up with some old friends. Great day.

  10. Today was a much better day than yesterday.I managed to ACF my favourite bike,cover her up and put on an Optimate.She will now hibernate over the next few months till I am able to ride her again.:upyeah:

  11. Finished the dreaded job of sawing and power filing all the brackets and bracing off project frame number 1 - so glad that's over!
    Went well with the new reciprocating saw and old power file :Happy:
    Now I can start on the serious and more enjoyable bit...

  12. A couple of hours on the bike, a couple of hours snorkelling and about to head out on the boat before dinner and then sorting the misses out. Weekends are what life is all about:)

    He said, "Is everything okay at the office?"

    I said, "Yes, it's all under control. It's been a very busy day, I haven't stopped."

    "Can you do me a favour?" he asked.

    I said, "Of course, what is it?"

    He said, "Hurry up and take your shot, I'm behind you on the 7th hole."
