Hi I'm Dave and I own a 748 I have owned it for about 5 years now ut not covered a great amount of miles since it only comes out in the summer. I have a fireblade for the winter Currently having a cutting out probem and would be great to get some experiences from you fellow Ducati owners..

hi mate, had a cutting out issue on mine a few years back.. like it was run out of fuel. was intermittent for a few days (would cut out shortly after starting then after a few mins , start and be fine) then kinda stopped dead. turned out to be the potentiometer (not a made up word)..

Hell yeah, we often do the run up through Finchingfield or through to the cafe outside Haverhill, sometimes even as far as Bury. We have a pub night on the 3rd Monday of the month to keep us going through winter as well, at the Angel pub in Chelmsford. It's a social night rather than a bike meet, so just turn up and chat bikes for an evening. Plus going to race meetings, bike shows, trackdays and that kind of thing.
That sounds like a a hell of ride! I love riding to Finchigfield but it gets very busy with traffic sometimes. Cheers for the info on the social night, might just have to pop along!
Thanks for a great welcome guys! I am near Colchester so not far from Chelmsford. Be good to meet up there I didn't know the ducati had a potentiometer, so I shall have to look into that
