I'm just lucky I can eat and drink whatever they want and it never affects me. At 19 stone I'm one of those average height people who has never needed to consider weight loss.
I've lost two stone in 12 months, at the expense of my muscle mass......(That means three stone in two years) ....bloody statins, it seems.
On serious diet as I saw a photo and jeez .. 3 stone down ... But as I'm 5ft it doesn't notice . Going to keep on at it. Did blow it today Promised myself some nice leathers if I loose lots more . I'm funny I like blokes with a bit of meat on them . When I was skinny my Bfs were. Heroin skinny .. But as I've got older I like something to hug . I walk past a cake shop and put on a stone just looking now
Other half is on a diet at the moment, he is using an APP to monitor his eating, first week so no idea how it's going but he is recording everything and not going over his limit. He was a bit horrified on Saturday to discover that his toast and marmalade for breakfast and two pints of cider and two packets of pork scratchings watching the rugby at the pub meant he was allowed a grape, or maybe it was two grapes, for dinner. He watched the match on line... at home...
Update on Mel's diet, four weeks and one stone lighter! The App seems to be keeping him on track. Haven't changed what we eAt which has always been veg heavy but it is weighed now so there is less of it and the snacking has stopped.
Weight loss: definitely tougher as you get older (for me anyway) - id say my best effort as a few years back when me and the other half did p90x religiously for the 3 month stint....I went from 15 down to about 12.5 stone but it was hard work, plus the diet was no fun, and at the end of it my wife's auntie commented that I looked "ill" and I could do with a "square meal" so now I still exercise 5 - 6 days a week for about 3/4 of an hour, be good during the week and then relax it on the weekend a bit...keeps me "average looking" in the weight department but all bets are off in December..!
