i was reading an articale there about a hotel that fined a resident £100 for leaving a bad revue on trip advisor, witch got me thinking about our local (which is now closed). THE WORST HOTEL IN SCOTLAND - Review of Stewart Hotel, Appin - TripAdvisor it was every bit as bad as it says, so much so i had to knock the owner out for insulting the wife. they where also featured in the observer i think, and officially voted the worst hotel in Scotland.
We once stayed in a hotel in Cocoa Beach, Florida (just south of Cape Canaveral). It was actually named "Fawlty Towers" - no doubt as a joke, but the service justified the name so it wasn't really all that funny.
Ive never had a bad hotel. I really liked the Hunters Rest in Clutton whilst I was at CJS. Great hotel and food, lovely pint of Otter.
used to stay in the smith hotel down in glasgow near the kelvin hall, great wee place, local family run business, recently bought over, the last time we stayed there the night porter let a drunk in to our room at 3 in the morning, got a bit messy, when i mentioned it to the receptionist in the morning, they reckoned it was my fault it turned ugly and there would be no refund. not that i was asking for one.tossers. back to the Stewart, got married there when the previous owners had, that was a story in it self the police had to get called. aye, good old fashioned Scottish hospitality. not that they where Scottish
the road down to it and on to campbell town, my bets their the best in scotland v.fast v.twisty.v.unpoliced .
a) "drunk entered room at 3am". That was probably you and a mirror incident. b) "your fault it turned ugly". With you involved could it be described any other way?
I booked into a hotel last night and asked the receptionist for a wake-up call this morning. At 8-00am today, the phone rang and a voice said "What on earth are you doing with your life?"
Hi there, I saw your post today (15/2/16) and I was wondering if you would be able to contact me asap. I am a journalist writing a piece on this hotel and your feedback on the owners would be extremely useful. Many thanks! [email protected]
WTF? You're certainly living up to your own stereotype. Intrusive and pushier than an insurance salesman at the end of a bad quarter.
