Anyone up for it? BOTT racing | Facebook Ducati Club Nederland - Sports & recreation, Motorcycles | Facebook Ducati Club Nederland - Ducati Club Nederland According to @900streetfighter ... Ducati Club Nederland have a well attended weekend of Club Races with open paddock/pits, trade stalls with ducati specialists and breakers selling spares/trick bits (but not particularly cheap). Trackday Friday, sells out quick, practice Saturday, about 20 races Sunday with all classes of ducati and european bikes. Usually in May and a good place to stay is Groningen 20 miles up the road which has all the Dutch attractions. According to @Pete1950 and @bradders the roads there are fast but straight and boring. @bradders reckons driving there is a much better bet than riding. I will either drive there from Somerset via the tunnel - maybe in my van with a bike in the back (in which case I will have room for one more) or I may fly over and get a hire car.
See you there. We will be riding. Good hotel in Groningen is Martini, private but not very secure parking (cctv).
Yes i'm interested though it my have to be a fly-in trip as can't take much time off work around then.
£80 return flight with BA. 18:00 from LHR arrives Schipol 20:10 ... 1 hr 30 drive in hire car to Groningen. 22:05 flight back on Sunday night arrives LHR 22:10 ... seems like a plan of sorts
They are straight and boring Have done the journey with a fellow ducatisti and camped and walked the track courtesy of DD
All arranged Booked into a local hotel recommended by one of the Dutch racers. Should be great weekend
Good luck Dave. It's been many years since I did the Assen Ducati meeting. Must revisit sometime. Maybe next year ...
Luck may be needed with the weather. Still, with my best mate and my two brothers along this is as much about the beer and banter as it is about the bikes
Got here at midnight last night. Bar was still open. Found our way to bed at 3am after a few smokes and a few beers Surprise surprise - this morning it's raining. Off to the track now.
