not a tall, big pussy me, taking pot shots at poor grammar and spelling, is one of the few things that will set me off, and i foolishly bit, kind of like slagging of a blind man for not being able to see. v.cheep. what i have noticed from the oxford dictionary's amongst us the have very little grasp of local dialect and tradition ie don't mix well.
True. I would say, though, that all the information needed for correct expression in English is available online for those who can be arsed to look it up and can be quite useful in the wider world. Though a blind man can't do much to alter his situation. So it's those who militantly refuse to improve their English I'm aiming at - not maker of the occasional mistake. And knowledge of your dialect is of little use to anyone outside of your community surely. Peace be upon you
