  1. For the ones who cannot resist- aka turn every thread to mindless gibberish and self congratulatory piffle. Technical knowledge not needed, in fact a hindrance. Off topic bollocks welcomed, in fact any topic (especially if you have a nut allergy).

Please be mindful of energy saving, use all the hot air espoused to blow smoke up your own arses and keep warm.

Happy grumpy new year bike lovers. xxxx

  3. so what ya fink on this new scrambler then?

  4. I've been rethinking my strategy for starting up my bikes over the winter lay-up.

I've decided that if the ambient temperature is around 5deg C or less, I won't start the bike up - mainly because the difficulty/downside in turning the bike over at such a time outweighs the benefits from periodically keeping the engine active.

  6. There's loads of posts for this type of thing, so many we just use them all now, it's easier - what are bikes? :)

  7. El T, could you please merge all the threads together into one? Thanks!

  10. Can you get electric blankets for motorbikes? Or maybe an electric crankcase warmer? Maybe you could convert a set of tyre warmers for the job.

Hmm - should I run my electric crankcase covers over the whole of the winter? I'm worried about how many heat cycles the crankcase will be capable of before a significant loss of performance. Of course, not running it constantly runs the risk of condensation. Is it possible to by tyre warmers that are big enough to cover the entire garage? Should I use a genny for this or mains power?
