Yeh and lots of them, for some reason more have opened over the years instead of closing like most places
Same where I live. Irish theme bars and yoof bars have been reinvented as pubs. Once an area gets a reputation for having good pubs it's easier for them to flourish. A few near me have closed, but only the crap ones as people deserted them for better venues. A couple of good pubs have unfortunately gone down the gastro route but still pass muster as pubs - just - as they still look after their ale.
Ever been to Ottley? Lots of good pubs there, too, according to an ale-loving mate from York (who now lives in London).
Been through it to Ilkley to buy my new 2000 model R6 Yam a couple of years ago, never stopped there Some good places over that way though.
And stop talking shite on the talking shite thread, that's what all the other threads are for apparently. Seemingly you can't talk about Castrol R Oil on a thread about Oil - so we are free to take back this forum into it's rightful hands. I think I will write a Bookie Wookie, maybe about Boobie Woobies  (that will upset some)
Welcome back, I thought you had banished yourself to the Word Association Thread - the King is back, Long Live the King
