Someone At Citylink Lost/stole My Fuel Tank.

  1. Sold tank on ebay,

Picked up along with another package on monday, one managed to get fully tracked and delivered as expected the nextday, yet the tank only got scanned when picked up and didn't show up as getting back to the depot.

    Now,
Buyer already put claim in, even though only 24h since should been delivered. Citylink say they have opened an investigation.........

How the HELL Can you lose a large box????????????

I suspect Driver, because one box got scanned when went back to depot, yet the boxed tank never did ???

    So,
Please keep your eyes out for this dented tank and did have new kevlar crash covers with it.

  2. What pissed me off even lastnight to the point of losing sleep is that the buyer has questioned why I would of taken a picture of the tank in an open box AND after I offered to send him MY spare tank with smaller dent it, which was going to keep, so will be without 2 tanks now.

He thought it was strange that I would have 2 "rare" identically damaged red 1199 fuel tanks and why would I buy 2 dented tanks to replace another dented tank on the panigale.

    First off,
I did not say they were Identically damaged, that would be an impossibility would it not.

Not going to start on my 13 days and counting missing ebay.de Ohlins ttx purchase (Direct bank transfer(no PP option))

  3. Shame you hadn't datatagged it. Saying that, is there any comeback for you via Ebay and the seller of this tank? It is quite possible this vendor bought it in good faith from an unscrupulous third party (whoever that may be). Were the tanks insured with CityLink? Whilst they may be out of business, it's possible you might recover the value of the tank if they used an outside underwriter to cover clients parcels. Might be worth investigating a bit deeper. Good luck.

  4. I got back just £50 off P4D as I did not insure due to being in a rush and there website playing up when booking.

Citylink messed me about and in the end just said, sorry but you should of insured it. Claimed the £50 basic cover through P4D site.(Courier broker)

I have tried reporting as stolen item through ebay but there website tells me can only report stolen items if I am in the police myself.???
The Large dent iand Misiing paint Is exactly shaped as mine, so like a fingerprint I would think when it comes to proof.

  5. Try the Police - with the two images - it is proof enough surely?

  6. On a serious note, the police must be interested as this guy has 275 items listed. Most look like he is stripping bikes. He only has the tank from yours.

    Go get him!!!

Why not win the auction, collect to pay cash - take everyone local on here along with you - I would inform the Police first but if you don't get anywhere do the visit

  8. Just got off the phone with Ebay and they have agreed its the same tank, but there not willing to remove listing unless they hear from the police, so told me to report it to the police.
Never done it before, so assume I just call the police on whatever no I can find(not checked yet)

  9. The outcome isn't to get the Tank de listed - the last thing the Police should do is call Ebay to get it de-listed!!! They need to get their arses round to his address and kick his head in old fashioned style :upyeah:

  11. 17 People have viewed so far this hour - it's us lot and it will highlight something to him!

  12. Thanks guys.
Have contacted police who first told me was fraud, not stolen, so told me to call fraud police, they then told me was not fraud, but stolen so told call police back.

    Done,
Got Crime No. Guy speaking to his Sergeant and I should expect a callback shortly.
Told him the dent is like a fingerprint, to which he said "Top banana"(lol) and said will get onto it before some poor sod buys it off him and loses there money when police would have to take it off them.

    Now
    Just a waiting game guys.

  13. Crap,
He has ended his listing, hope its due to the police/ebay

  14. Police are coming round at 5pm to talk to me about it ? Guessing to get more info.
So gonna print off his listing and my first post of this thread with the 2 images of the tank to also show them.
    Also,
My paypal page showing I refunded the original ebay buyer and finally the images of the tank I still have on my laptop.
They haven't contacted ebay yet, so the seller has either removed it because all the people looking at it and knows its stolen, or they have sold to someone outside of ebay for cash/less money.

  15. He still has all his 274 other listings up.

  16. Buy his cheapest item, then arrange to collect it from his house. Get his address, then go collect your tank.
