Well I woke up to sunshine and dry roads this morning so decided it was time to try the new toy out, managed 100 miles before my fingers froze and fell off. Decided to change the seat cowl as I still have the one from my 899 (mat white) Its called equal opportunities.
I must admit the first 10 miles ish were done very tentatively new bike, new tyres and cold tarmac and then I got into the swing of things, bike feels really good. Hoping for a few more weekends like this so can get 1st service dun and Termi system fitted.
I got my first ride in for the year also. It felt good but the bike felt a bit floppy in the corners. I hadn't checked the tyre pressures and suspect the front is down a few psi. As this was going on in my head I kept it very sensible in the corners but great to get up to a good pace generally. Bike is wrapped up again waiting for the next occasion. Oh and yes it was cold!
got my first ride of the year ( of the decade ! ) yesterday in the wind rain and snow of Aberdeen,,, obviously not on my bike !!

Yes mate. I might tax my monster in March depending on weather. But 1199 will be April. However I've just remembered I'm away for 15 days in April so might even be May !!!
Well it was ok out there today but a bit cold, didnt pick up no crap of the roads either and bike still looks clean.
like the white seat cowl is it so much different to the 899 handling wise as torque is obviously gonna be better
Thanks mate, I thought it would just make it a little different. Handling feels good but not tried it under load yet as keeping it to under 6,000 revs, did blip the throttle a couple of times and wet myself with excitement.
