went for a lil spin as well. just down the ace (5 ish miles away) then for a change round suburbia (acton, chiswick, putney) parked in chiswick for a pint and spent half an hour talking to strangers about the bike. the rear caliper kinda shat it self on the way home. i use the back brake on occasions even tho it dont work. ???? had a lil rear end slide on the power, thought although its cold i had done a few miles and tires must be warm so a bit strange.. i pulled over , as i did the brake pedal was soft as fuck. brake fluid all over tire. nothing a burn out didnt fix
Mine's in bits at Louigi-Moto having some performance fairy dust sprinkled over it so I've been test riding other people's bikes instead. And I've discovered that the best things since sliced bread are in fact tall screens and heated grips. I thought such things were for old men and poofters but this is not so. Its like going scuba diving for years in your cacks and discovering one day that there is such a thing as a dry suit. A man needs a winter bike to appreciate his summer ride all the more. Now then, 1200GS, Triumph Explorer, AirCon's Multi if he'll drop the price a bit more.. Hmmm..
I always found the rear break on my 899 to work perfectly, put all my weight on it and eventually the bike would slow down Never had to worry about it locking up the rear wheel. I doubt the hose has perished as they are braided (well they used to be) Blown a seal maybe?
i must admit riding the ktm and wr a lot i've been using the rear brake alot more. never used it on my previous sports bike.
Rear brake on Duc is pretty useless, I got a shock when I used the rear brake on 690 back wheel locked up.
tbh I am not even sure, I think a Suzie 600,,, fkn horrible thing !! oh and BTW, I got up to a giddy 32 mph !!!!!
TToneup posted up that he had completed number one of three requirements, didn't confirm what tho so a debate started all good. still not confirmed.
new seal and piston kit, line, lever, reservoir, hose and bleed nipple so i dont think it mechanical.. more something ive done (or didnt do) no biggy...
all nuts torqued up to right tension ? or seal not seated right, not questioning your ability mate but I have done silly things like that.
