question away as it is my ability in this case the led to the problem... the caliper pinch bolts are lose. i did yesterday check all bolts/screws/nuts as im quite paranoid about such things but i neglected the rear brake... hey at least it wernt the front eh?
Hell yeah mate, you can get out of a rear slide in some cases but front end sliding out means getting your knee, elbow down followed by rest of body and bike. Glad you know where problem is now fix it (Prob already have though).
I had a little 10 mile shake down ride, bit cold but felt nice to be out on 2 wheels. I certainly had a better day than the owner of the yellow Mini I spotted! Opps!!
In a nutshell it belonged to a pal of mine who had a little off. his insurance wrote it off I bought it.
Was going to do it all black and have the tank stripped then go for a brushed ally look but as the road stuff I have picked up so far is mint I cant bring self to move away from red. This bike will be a long term keeper so in time I may go down the black route
Having managed to amass a garage full of alternative bikes to ride, and the Panigale still at Snell Performance following some repairs anyhow, I made the executive decision to keep it off the road whilst the salt trucks have been out. I got us kitted out with Dirtbikes for the muddy months, but i must admit I was envious of the racebikes I saw whilst driving to Salisbury Plain yesterday.
I did exactly that before getting interested in dirtbikes and got the KTM 620 smc. Unfotunately the previous owner had done half a job of a rebuild and it blew up after two days and is now in a box It was soooo much fun for those two days, I'd definately recommend one if you are thinking about it. I can't wait to have it on the road again. Get the 640/660 with the new grey engine if you do go ahead as these are more reliable with oil jackets on the head/crank case (or something like that).
