Was the Open University ever a polytechnic?:Bookworm: If so, my father-in-law (doctor and fellow of the astronomical society) has been taking the piss without me noticing.
Nah...the closest I can get to using the word "super" for you is......hyper or requires supervision..
It wasn't, and I have every admiration for anyone who can work (assumption in your case, i know) and complete a degree course. But if the cap fits on my other points ... I was educated at London University and the Sorbonne after attending a state school, by the way.
That's ok then. 10 years, with 3 or 4 off in the middle somewhere (no OU support in China) for an MBA (Means Bugger All). I had to start from scratch, as my parents weren't rich enough to send me to university. I had to work from the day I left school (and part time for the six years before).
My parents weren't rich either. I lived at home while in London and worked in a garage pumping petrol (remember those days?) at weekends. In Paris, I worked as a teaching assistant in a girls' boarding school and had free accommodation there. No silver spoons in my life. Not hard in any way, but no leg-ups from posh mates I met at public school either.
He likes me to call him Steve when we go to the pub though. He's all for informality and the letters after his name get in the way when you're talking bikes or football.
A pet hate of mine, Is when you talk to someone about bikes and they say, i would love a bike but i know i would kill myself on one. People who think being self-employed is easy and if you finish work a bit early they think "its all right for some" Idiots on roundabouts who think its called a square-about and cut straight across your path. And people who don't support Chelsea :Cigar:
They have the :Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy::Greedy: and alot of AirCon.
