me and misses cookster moving into our first house on friday and my god what a ball ache!! i can see why now people get stressed out when moving, having to deal with absolute morons every day,3 of my pet hates...... talking to people in the bank, talking to estate agents and talking to solicitors, then we have to talk to them 5 times a day to get them to talk to each other!! its hard work but were looking forward to it. On the plus side i get my own garage for the bikes to live in,im also working on getting the 748r in the living room but the chances are very slim at the moment. anyway rant over hopefully i havent got to move again EVER!!!
Good luck. Don't forget to change ALL the locks. Take photos of the meter readings including water, saves arguments later.
You will end up in the garage if you push it too far I hate moving it's a nightmare but good luck for Friday and all the best for your move and enjoy your new home
It's a bloody nightmare, I did it 6 yrs ago and yep what a ball ache, mind you the solicitor I used was really on the ball. Good luck for the day mate and hope it goes smoothly.
Forget cowboy builders, those three are cowboys in suits and haven't got a clue. Moved five times and enjoy it, great fun looking at house's and the chase to find out if it all comes together, then when moved in you can start knocking it about, You can have fun looking on Rightmove (i must get out more)
Yep, real pain in the arse. It's a lovely feeling when you get the keys and walk through through the door. Then the central heating breaks down. Houses cost even more than Ducs but at least they don't often fall off the side stand.
We should be exchanging on my mums bungalow today. I've not heard anything from the solicitors yet though
For the OP's first statement that's why I cant see myself moving atall in the next 20 years - unless I get evicted of course...the only thing I don't like about our house is that the garage is a bit small, but I can put up with that....the shitter is, is that down the bottom of the garden theres enough room for a triple garage! - just cant afford it!!
Well, ive only got the hyper but have rsv4 and KTM as well....I fear that would only pay for the driveway down to it....and probably not even that!! If I was a guessing man I reckon to have my old garage demolished..."create" a driveway down to the new area and a triple garage....I reckon the best part of 60k....maybe in about 15 years time when ive finished paying for the house!! My next door neighbour was quoted 84k to convert half of his basement and put a small extension on the back....
