Definitely something hooky going on, because the seller has yet again ended the second listing for the same reason as they ended the first listing for the tank,(This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.) Also weird is how it was ended this morning at 02:41:42 am.(Unless ebay ended it for him/her OR the police been round???) Police women who came to get proof and basic statement from me yesterday, said she would be back last night or this morning to get me to sign the statement after she has written it up properly on the pc, but not been back as of yet.
All his other items are still there, I think the police would have pulled them all pending investigations, if they have done anything yet that is - unless he was not at fault of course.
No end of possibilities of course but has the original buyer of your tank been in touch? Might he have seen the tank on eBay and contacted the seller?
The original buyer from Kent hasn't been in touch with me and I hope he hasn't contacted the seller in case the seller is the thieving scumbag selling stolen parts??? I just prey and hope I get the tank back, but not looking good.
Hear hear on getting the tank back. I'd say your "buyer" if he genuinely wants a tank, will have continued to look. There's every chance he will have seen it if so. You could ask him possibly if he's been in touch with the recipient of your tank? You could even point him to this thread to explain what's happened. You've said nothing about him and if you think you have, edit your post. His feelings aren't important here. It's you getting the tank back that you sent in good faith and you may in the end clear his mind and/or save him the hassle of a stolen tank if he's genuine enough. You could ask him not to contact the seller until plod has done their bit. Regarding him lodging a complaint on eBay within 24hrs, he's paid a largish sum of money on eBay and will have read citylink have gone bust. Again if he's genuine, his jitters are perhaps understandable (notwithstanding any remarks of why you had two tanks etc). Either way, if he's genuine and been cheated also, he'll understand. Worth a shot if it might help you get your tank back?
Hi mate, Thanks for the advice, always greatful The tank Originally went missing in Citylinks hands on the 29th september 2014, between getting picked up and the depot in Warrington that day, long before they went bust. After a few days of Citylink so called looking for the missing package/tank and telling me, sorry we can not find it, I Refunded the Buyer the £465 inc post that he had originally paid on the 28th sep 2014 through ebay/payal. Heres hoping The police get to the seller before tank goes missing again or gets sold to some other poor buyer, only for the police to later turn up at there home to take it off them
Eesh. Spot the fatal error in my thinking. In that case then your buyer does indeed seem rather jittery.
Why did u refund the buyer? After u posted its not your fault it went missing. It was up to the buyer to pay for insurance on the parcel. You fullfilled your obligations as a seller.
He did. Basically the original buyer wanted it asap as was going on trackday he said , so promised him that I would ship it out the nextday,(24h delivery) But while trying to book it, the ins cover page kept hanging/not going through when I put the value in and clicked enter/next, so after starting again at the beginning 3-4 times, I clicked "No ins cover option to get past that page and finish the booking, then the F%CKING Tank went missing. Anyway, All I could claim back was the basic £50 ins loss cover including in the shipping price. So, Goes without saying that if the booking page ever screws up again, The buyer will have to wait.
Including purchase and shipping from us it stood me about £330 + I then paid about £58-60?? for the new kevlar covers + then to get my moneyback I workout and then add the paypal+ebay fees and the postage when listed it on evil bay..
" did the plod ever get back to you ?" Spotted it and emailed link to the pc who dealing with the case, she replied today to say they have contacted ebay and are waiting a reply????????????????
