You made your bike sweat, it doesn't want a duvet· its wants a breathable cover, and a dehumidifier. If you can build a new garage off the house side, it will save you 1 wall, and draw free heat from your house. You can also have a door into your house, allowing you to barricade the main door from the inside. Uninsulated single brick, will not care for your bike any better than a shed. Budget a min of 12k for this project.
Good access down the drive and room for around six bikes. And who need landscaping when you have views like this from your shed door.
not really, the cotton absorbs the damp air, then it just sits on your bike. Dehumidifier is the key,
I've done another thread on the state of my garage. It would take we hell of a dehumidifier to get my garage dry. Are proper indoor bike covers better then?
This is my current dehumidifier, I got 3 of them and charge them about twice a week and have the dotted around the bikes. I have classified it as better than nothing.
I bought one of these last winter - am amazed how much water it extracts over a week or two. And my garage is not especially damp, I don't get any moisture condensing on the bikes...
Thats tiny!, you need a proper one, with the drain pipe sealed through the shed wall, then you never need to empty it. the dedicated cover, is thin and breathable, and allows fresh air to pass though. Stale air holds moisture, the dehumidifier will remove a gallon a week out the air, and your bike will make friends with it.
