Bit of a long shot I know, but anyone on here got one for sale? Our works Nissan Cabstar went bang in very large fashion on Saturday morning, and of course we are awash with van work this week... If you have one in tidy condition,(and less than starship mileage!),I am seriously looking. PM me your number and I'll get to you asap if I haven't bitten the ebay bullet by then.
Not everything unreliable is made in Italy...check out some of the Nissan Navara forums if you want to hear horror stories... Apparently there is a known con-rod bolt issue, engines can let go at any time, any mileage....
Unforgivably I know it's FAR older than what you want. I have a 1997 IVECO Turbodaily 2.8 TD with a tiny bit over 50,000 miles on the clock and MOT's check with this. If you are intrested?
Hi mate. Thanks for that,it sounds great. But I have to have newer as it goes into London a lot. thanks again
My Neighbour is selling his LDV crew cab hitop lwb for £6000. Maxus, really low mileage 2012 registered... Bargain in white.
thanks, not for me though. mercedes and iveco are really the only ones for me,for lots of reasons thanks again
It might just be what he knows. Loads of people rubbish the Maxus, most have no knowledge or reason to. We've had three. Basic in the cab, tinny, easy to dent. They carry the weight better than most vans. And at £13k plus the vat, very cheap...sadly they are no more! I'm going for the crafter next.
LOL thats a first, a suggestion of snobbery when considering an Iveco...possibly the manufacturer with the worst reputation amongst Drivers....("It Vibrates Everything Comes Off") No,I like Sprinters and Dailys for far more practical reasons, sorry to be so boring The Iveco has a ladder chassis, just like a "proper" truck, makes it extremely strong:generally very reliable,( Iveco are one of the largest diesel engine manufacturers in the world), parts availability is extremely good, and their breakdown service one of the best. The Merc is more expensive but very reliable and residuals are higher my experience of them is generally positive.... I need to have confidence in a vehicle when it's being thrashed across Europe
