She's gone mate. Phoned the dealer this afternoon. Yes she was cheap, but I think the lack of service history and probably a few other bits & bobs like spare keys etc reflected the price. The paint job put me off as it's not OEM and that would have cost a few quid to put right.
Yeah the thought had crossed my mind but I have had 2 so I'd like to try something else now. I have had a soft spot for the 749R since they was first launched in '04. I have come very close to buying one on 2 seperate occasions now so I think it's an itch I have to scratch!
and the car in that picture was registered in west Bristol.... bike for sale in Rotherham.... last service in st neots.....may 2014 I'm sure these things just get about......
Is it me or does the 749r fuel tank look like an after thought that got knocked up on the quick from the boys from Bologna ? (Just saying)
Having the last service in St Neots and the bike being for sale in Rotherham did sound a bit odd to me.
It sold the day it was listed on Ebay in the afternoon, within an hour or two. I phoned up to buy it at 9am the next day. They then listed it on their web site 'after selling it' so I phoned back the next day, they told me it was sold - just an automated system. It is still for sale on Ebay. Looking at some reviews for this dealer would question if it was ever for sale or just a stooge to get traffic to their web site - it has been sold for a week now and still listed . The decal kit would have been removable as it isn't lacquered in looking at the pictures so would have been a cheap buy.
