I'm after some titanium front axle pinch bolts - mine are in a bit of a state. I notice ProBolt supply them (part no. TIFAPINCH230) but they have a conical shape, is there anywhere that do normal straight sided ones? Is the torque setting 10Nm? Standard ABS model
Precision engineered motorcycle bolts | Racebolt You could try these guys if you know length, pitch etc, I found them good value too.

Well ~ wasn't really happy with the standard OEM bolts + nuts and misc. hardware and started a year ago to slowly change over to TI wherever possible. Got some more one-off custom TI race spec. parts in the works overseas and still need to do the fastener hardware on the wheels (brake discs, etc.). Rest assured, not using MIC = Made In China mystery hardware, only from various reliable and established suppliers like Pro-Bolt UK Titanium, Stainless Steel, Aluminium Fasteners & Motorcycle Bolts | ProBolt , top notch parts and they look brilliant... nuff said'... Anti-seize to prevent galling & proper torque specs. are applied with the right tools.
I use the A4 marine grade stainless fasteners where I can. Only marginally more expensive than the standard A2 stainless yet still infinitely cheaper than Ti. Not bothered about weight saving as its cheaper for me to go on a diet.
And.....What is the torque setting supposed to be for the Skyhook pinch bolts? My manual doesn't cover this model.
Dunno 'bout the Multis but all the SBK's from 748 thru to 1199 regardless of make/model/type of forks it's always 19Nm
Thanks for the advice, but it may not be relevant. The Ohlins was 19Nm and the Marzocchi was 10Nm, given than I was the one that had a broken Ohlins fork foot (later subject to Factory workshop notice) I'm not willing to take a flyer. I'll give a dealer a call tomorrow before setting off.
Problem is (did my pinch bolts last year) once you've done them then the disc rotor ones look pants. So you swap them for bling ones, then the next pants bolt closest to it looks pants.......etc etc. Where do you stop? Wathched a yawn inducing prog on Bentley GT car and they (yawn'd) on about quality; blah blah. Did show a salt bath, fully enclosed machine to accelerate corrosion. To test wheels and the like. I wonder if we should all club together and buy Ducati one for Crimbo?
They can be. They are graded typically 50 70 80 etc. If you look on the heads they are also usually marked. A4 70 is the most common which are cold worked. 80 is high strength and 50 is soft. 70 and 80 would be suitable to replace anything on the bike. Given the torque of the pinch bolts its really a non issue for this application.
