Nearly Total Solar Eclipse This Week...

  1. Friday about 9.25am :Nailbiting: it's the end of the world :Mooning: ............. perhaps :D

  2. Happens all the time down here. My neighbour's Mrs. is so big that I get the same effect whenever she walks by. Can't post a photo 'cos they don't make a lens with a wide enough angle. Got her own gravity field with orbiting moons 'n all. She's Scottish by the way.

Here's a pic. of her from 10 yards away.

  8. If you want to look at it and can't find a welding shield get a bit of glass and a candle (aLl wives and nuns have a candle)
Light the candle and play the flame under the glass which will then be covered in soot then look at the eclipse through the blackened glass

Of course that all depends on whether you have a view of the sun

  9. Fill a bucket with water. Put it on the ground outside, in the sun. Stand in such a position that the sun reflects from the surface of the water into your eyes. Watch the eclipse that way.

  16. I shall be observing it through the pain-filled haze of despair at my own pointless existence.

    :Watching:

Nah, kidding. I'll be in the office laughing for sheer joy and wonder at the vibrant experience that is my working day :D
