Any remember that superb eclipse in about 98 or 99? It was total and everything got dark. I was somewhere near Verdun on my way to Belgium at the time. But what was frustrating was that it was cloudy, so never really saw it properly. Life, eh?
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... and also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of Budweiser, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
Yes, I do remember that and I was in Nigeria that day. And I'm in San Diego this week. Grrr... The weather's nice though...
Spelt so wrongly I struggled to understand you at first but your little note on the end helped somewhat
Note to self, don't come on the Forum when steaming drunk after the pub - just had a read up there :Nailbiting: :Muted: :Mooning:
Yes. Most of the light goes down through the water into the (preferably black) bucket. Just enough is reflected to see the sun clearly without hurting the eyes. PS Do not use a bucket of used engine oil - the reflections are too strong.
Bugger bugger bugger ...........anyone got a funnel so I can get this oil back down that little hole :Arghh:
