1200 DVT ..the Changes Added To Make The Dream Machine Reality

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by GunZenBomZ, Mar 13, 2015.

  1. I've come to the conclusion i need to spend a lot more too master the pinnacle of biking ownership (I've already done adventure blinging so i know this is a money-pit) over the coming years with a ducati. Already special waxes & neutral clean products are been noted down plus the outrageously cool 'abba sky-lift' cleaning/maneuvering hoist. Please describe your own future plans & help fill in my queries of certain things.

    My list of add-ons & mod's;

    GPS lockable mount
    3M Protective polyurethane tape (for plastic panels & nose region from stone chips)
    Heated grips & center stand
    Radiator grill protector + front mudguard extender?
    DID heavy duty chain & supersprox sprocket set?
    Termignoni full racing exhaust system (after run in period)
    MS-1200 exhaust servo eliminator with above exhaust change (remove the servo-unit & wiring?)
    Touratech Zega Pro 38L top-case
    Lunasee pro 1000 active side wheel lighting (legality of this is doubtful but i live in the country-side)

    With a money-tree;

    Air-horn
    Stainless steel braided brake lines
    Carbon parts for swapping plastic one's.
    Denali LED auxiliary lighting
    Brembo M4's calipers (advantages from the Brembo monobloc Evo M50 4-piston calipers!?)
    Translogic Quickshifter (Panigale 1299 QS-button system would be the ultimate)
    Kineo wheels / Dymag CA5 carbon fibre 5 spoke wheels

  3. The motorcycle already has braided lines and these have a plastic coating, however this won't prevent them from removing the coating on the inside of your forks. Changing them to stainless steel braid will speed up this process no end.
    You won't need an exha|st servo eliminator as the UPmap that is supplied with the full termis will do this for you.

  7. My list of add-ons & mod's;

    GPS lockable mount - just take it off.
    3M Protective polyurethane tape (for plastic panels & nose region from stone chips)
    I used http://officialmotografix.com/epage...acetedSearchProducts&SearchString=multistrada
    Heated grips (a must for 365 days a year riding) & center stand - Good idea for safe parking and quick maint. works, reduces ground clearance, adds weight
    Radiator grill protector (a must and oil radiator, front ABS sensor and horizontal cylinder head protector) + front mudguard extender (Nope, I'm not sure a good one exists)?
    DID heavy duty chain (gold sided) & supersprox sprocket set?
    Termignoni full racing exhaust system (after run in period) - why wait...the throttle goes both ways.
    MS-1200 exhaust servo eliminator with above exhaust change - see my note above. (remove the servo-unit It's an arse to get to & wiring? NO)
    Touratech Zega Pro 38L top-case
    Lunasee pro 1000 active side wheel lighting (legality of this is doubtful but i live in the country-side)

    With a money-tree;

    Air-horn (not much space)
    Stainless steel braided brake lines see my note above.
    Carbon parts for swapping plastic one's. Expensive
    Denali LED auxiliary lighting
    Brembo M4's calipers (advantages from the Brembo monobloc Evo M50 4-piston calipers!?) Surely the new brakes are fine.
    Translogic Quickshifter (Panigale 1299 QS-button system would be the ultimate) - My next modification.
    Kineo wheels / Dymag CA5 carbon fibre 5 spoke wheels just not convinced that carbon wheels are great for the road.
