Red Ed Vs Call Me Dave

  1. Who won and why ?

And isn't Kay wots her name rubbish.

  2. edd. seemed more passionate. due to the nature and style of the questioning cant really say any thing else.
actually every thing i heard from labour yesterday was good F.M.Q's, question time and the head to head.

  3. To me it was all about damage limitation, Dave came out of it looking the statesman having to deal with difficult issues, whilst Ed looked like an idealistic student activist.

On those performances Ed will not gain any extra votes and may even have lost some but for me Dave was the clear winner, it was his to lose and he did very well.

Paxman was very robust with Dave but he crossed a boundary towards the end, even for me, with his questioning of Ed, showing almost contempt.

  4. hate that style of questioning, it can look good on t.v, score a few bonus points for the questioner nothing else.

  5. Bias radio 2 news this morning played two clips from last nights interviews, Cameron's clip was him being harassed about his pledge to keep immigration down which he hadn't done and Milibands clip was him saying what a strong character he has and how strong he would be in government.

  8. They're both pink.

  9. Compared to you quite likely ;-)

  10. The audience were hopeless. I don't know how they were selected, but none of them had what it takes to put a professional politician on the spot. As for Paxman, he was simply trying to create a spectacle.

  11. Yes. The idea that any real issues can be addressed in such short time is crazy, but you do get a sense of the man and whilst it is difficult to warm to the Old Etonian he at least comes across as someone of stature, Ed on the other hand is a North London Geek, as Paxman put it.

  12. it is not a comparative term.

  13. "stature " ???,, as in a jelly mould

  14. The media,(puffing its chest out with its own self-importance as usual),was trying to portray it as a Milliband minor victory.
They barely reported that the public thought otherwise, with an independent poll giving it to DC 54% EM 46%
So its not hard to see which side they,(the broadcasters) want to win...
And I really can't stand that windbag Paxman...he only lives for the sound of his own voice,as did the publicly-funded BBC that made him rich,so he's hardly going to show any love for the Tories..
