Thinking of having a ride up there on Monday as I have never been to this hotspot before and was wondering if anyone would be able to comment on the wow or not so wow factor. The reason for the hesitation is the ride from my location (Chesterfield) involves what looks like a mind numbing, spirit crushing run up the M1, M18, A1. Suggestions gratefully received!! Squires can be a good meeting place. And the surrounding roads are brilliant. However I'd expect plod to be out in force on Monday.
I went out with a Sherburn WPC beginning of last year, she was a biker too :Happy: with my charm, we'll be safe around there :Hilarious:
That ride up the Motorways certainly would be soul destroying and as nice as Squires might be these days when your sat at home that Evening reflecting on the day it would not rank as one of your best. There is a solution if your ride is the more important part. Ride to Worksop- Tickhill-Bawtry.then head towards Gainsborough. In a village called Beckingham turn left on the A161 that will take you all the way to Goole. If you like bends then you will like that Road When you get to Goole head to Rawcliffe thenSnaith then turn North to Carlton - Cambleforth until you hit the old A63 then it's only a few miles to Squires
