  1. just been preparing a new workshop. its not for industrial use just for home.
id like something thats non slippy, easy to clean up spillages, cheap and will look nice. the only good/bad point is its 600sq ft. what have others used? due to the size cost is a factor.
also some of the rubber matting ive seen which looks nice but will it be ok will oil and petrol spillages?

    its a concrete floor.

this would be cool but out my price range

  2. Quick grind with a diamond grinder and two coats of Remmers SG3000 or Sika 264. If you need slip resistance, some 0.3 to 0.8 aggregate in the 1st coat....

  3. Try finding the grub screw you've dropped on that.

  4. looks great bluehawk. ill give it a whirl. just been looking on their website and there seems to be no coverage calculator. any ideas what 10 liter coverage is?

  5. 10 litres of either should give you 40sqm per coat. You'll need two coats...

Its not a garage, but you get the idea.... Factory unit after #1.jpg

  6. I use the foam flooring that was on offer at halfords. Works perfectly and covered a 10'x20' space for about £80, with spares, and will belifted and taken to the new home wih me. Warm, soft if you drop something and makes bolts and nuts easier to find when you drop them

  7. I put some AstroTurf down, really soft on my feet which is great. Bit of a pain to find dropped nuts though. Oh and don't be tempted to do any welding over it. Probably not the best flooring really.

  8. sounds like a new way to smoke grass drinky:)

so i think im going to do a bit of a mix. majority of it with the special floor paint and the floor tiles around the work areas.
booked first week of next month off to get it all in order. watch this space

  9. Just used an old rug from the house....and some of those 2ft square carpet samples....so I can move them around. Nice on your knees....hoover it out every now and again....works perfect...however I think I may still paint the floor also and then put the rug back in there...ive got a satellite receiver, radio, fridge out there already - the rug was a natural progression - hell, if I catch her at a bad time of the month I could probably sleep out there!
