Had some metal shrapnel in a thumb for around 5 years Anyone else got any 'foreign body' stories?
I had a laparotomy some years ago. The scar was stiched with dissolving suture. A few weeks later I saw a bit of brown stuff on the scar - fluff, scab or something, I thought. Pulled out at least four inches of thread, which made me feel a little nauseous.
'scuse my ignorance Loz, but what part of the body did this emerge from? - it's ok we are after the watershed :smile:
freaky ^ had a springwater cyst the size of a grapefruit removed from my chest via keyhole surgery. It was attached to my peri-cardium - very glad it's out but long term problems remain as a result.
If it's scars we are comparing I have one 8" long from belowm my navel upwards...... You don't want to know why other than some bloke with a knife did it.... ........a surgeon.....
