  8. yip, weathers looking pish for sunday so might be time for a whiskey BBking fest.

  9. Bourbon..?
Worth digging out some early recordings. He had a really pure, gospel-style singing voice in his young days. He was a terrific singer as well as a great guitarist.

  10. One of the very last who lived the blues,Delta region, cotton picking, come on he is a goddam icon. We
Aye homage to Eric Clapton,Slash,SRV etc, but this guy has lived the blues life, London suburbia for 2 of the above ,although phenomenal guitarists would not be where they are if it was not for BB. The thrill has gone! RIP.

  11. No, it was Eddie Amoo in The Real Thing

  12. BB King only really started in 1940...........The real blues started way before then.

    Sorry Riley......Still loved your music.

  13. He was a real Mississippi delta bluesman though. And delta blues is the iconic strain of black American folk music which came out of the cotton plantations and without which Rock and Roll as we know it would not exist. In a world full of fakes and wannabes King was the genuine article and one of the last.

  14. Bourbon? nah i like him, but not that much. my Jim Beam days are over.. gimmy the real deal.

  15. Been reading some of the obits. He didn't approve of drinking and smoking and banned both among his musicians when on tour. Perhaps you ought to stick to tea..

    Or maybe not..

  16. I didn't state he started the blues, but that he lived the blues, very different , he is still an authentic bluesman, and that is a very rare breed indeed.

  17. I wasn't criticising..............just adding to what you had said............
