Wood or metal? I would imagine wood is better for keeping temperate stable in the garage and less condensation however metal is less upkeep. Discuss.
Oh yeah, won't be done till autumn 2016. Did get a quote for someone to flatten it and put a block one up but that was £13 1/2k..
yip, probably mentioned this earlier, i built my own from scratch using sarkin ship lapped turned out alright and trust me i aint no chippy. could be doing with a new roof maybe but quite rewarding. i intended to restore/build summit in there until the mrs filled it with her shit. cow.
My sister used to be into horses before she saw the light. I've never known another sport/pastime/hobby that costs so much money and time. Makes motorcycling seem cheap.
Composite. Hormann are the best you'll buy imo. Go for a sectional one if you have the space in the garage for the framework.
what about upvc? bi fold or concertina. if you can move a lil on exact size/finish you could get a good 2nd hand set offa ebay for not alot if you are in no rush. low maintenance, good thermal values and secure enough to be used and insured on houses
I would need to sell all my stuff which would negate the point in a garage in the first place. I appreciate your input though.
It's a timber frame and I will be changing from dbl doors to a single door so will need to build a framework anyway.
piece of cake then, find ya self a door/frame and build ya structural opening to fit, screw and foam in and clad over door frame a lil to weather. Im a chippy and hate wooden external doors (double door sets and bifolds, not so much single) as the gaps are all ways changing unless on a very well made, constantly treated door
Check this puppy. Shame I have no way of getting it and no where to keep it until I'm ready. Electric garage door | eBay
