my bike that is, not me. Can the the only explanation. As when boarding the train Fri the fuel sensor error came up and has been flashing at me and not working all weekend Back on English soil and although empty it was showing full (good old English optimism! Farage would be proud). Filled up at Maidstone and hasn't gone wrong since, fully functioning and working all the way home Will still get it changed, to teach it a lesson...
Don't talk to me about fuel @bradders. No sooner had you ridden off than my bike spluttered and died. I had to push it the last 800m to the petrol station. Still, good job I took that cheeky short cut to jump the queue getting on the train in Calais - otherwise I may not have made it at all!!
Did you fill up with E10 in France? A lot of the regular unleaded in France and Spain isn't 95 unleaded, but E10 with a higher ethanol content..
What Difference dose the E10 fuel make ... I was filling up with it all last week 2.5K miles on a little jolly found Germany Czech and Austria?
The bike should be E10 compliant already, unlike some of the older stuff that gets dissolved fuel lines, leaky joints etc?
I am probably imagining it but a couple of weeks ago I used about 3 x tanks in a row, I was sure that the mpg went up and performance felt better. Parked the bike up for a week and for the first time in 2 yrs it wouldn't start, it eventually flooded and after a bit of charging it I managed to get it going by holding the throttle fully open when cranking. Possibly E10, who knows.
