As above for a 996 (not sure what other models would fit) in black. Apparently Ducati don't sell them anymore. Or suggestions where to get one.
You could use a tubing plastic plug, or change to a whole set. I use these on a couple of my bikes and they are fine. Nothing exotic but they do the job. Anthony E (Avanti Race Parts) on this forum used to sell them via eBay, I think he doesn't sell them via there now but he may be able to help you.
The frames were never fitted with plugs, so you've probably some after market parts fitted in there. Do you have a picture? I have some plain plastic pipe plugs that may do the job

Here it is. If they are not actual Ducati bits don't worry to much as I expect I can pick something up on eBay of local hardware store.
Ducati don't make them or fit them - they are tarty aftermarket bits to fill a hole that should be there
