Wifey's dads Farm is only a little distance away - could keep it there until I get can plan - it's still a large wedge though
Still too pricey at £12.5K but looks like a profit could be had - but I'd want to keep it which would be a problem
one of my customers mentioned he had the British version forget what its called looks very similar slightly rounded.
Not sure how long it has been advertised for but will probably move on price if it's been on a while. Not sure if the web site shows how long but will check with a Czech soon so to speak
Its a fairly iconic thing, reenactment types would like. I can imagine paperwork and history, originality is important for good money. Numbers matching and all that.
Yeh, I would need to research if they were recorded in the war to that extent and if it has any history of any kind.
As said previously value is all about the history and originality. Can you prove where it's been i.e. where it saw active service in WW2? How original is it - I believe Ford marked many of the less significant components too on these, so originality is easy once you know what to look for. Whilst they have a following they don't do much above 50mph and are difficult to drive if over 5ft7 - the seat cannot be adjusted and modifications are difficult (and affect value) as the fuel tank is beneath the seat. Not the most practical of vehicles in "normal" use.
A friend of a friend has one of these. I think he mentioned it was re built with a spanish? chassis which a lot were. I think there are very few original ww2 active duty ones out there as most have rotted out and been rebuilt. Like Stang says, the originality and history seriously affect the prices. I would be careful especially as you cannot physically view it.
