  1. Busy day in the garage, caught up with a lot of "get round to it" jobs.

    Replaced this:

    With this:

Using this little rascal from Shapeways:

    And replaced this:

    With this:

Popped on a pair of these:

And this, to finish off the rad guard and cylinder head protection trio:

And a USB socket, for the phone and Drift camera:

And another little gizmo from Shapeways for the Drift remote:

And these highly expensive (£17.95) levers from China:

And put it all back together again!!

And when the wife asks "what have you been doing out there in the garage all of this time?", "Having a good fettle" is not a good answer, apparently!! Jon.

  2. Swap the naff chain for a 'DID heavy duty' jobbie & you won't need the e-system. Just the occasional application of wax-chain-oil & jobs a goodun. Although it does provide a lovely blue display with info on it, i found mine sprayed oil all over my back wheel & though i enjoy weaving my back wheel about now-n-again. Not when i'm not the one making the decisions when that happens. Is that an abba sky lift?

  3. Scottoilers are brillaint, as long as they are set up properly. It is a 1jack, made in England! Brilliant service, great lift. Jon.

  4. Interested in that gizmo for holding the Drift remote, can you post a link?

  5. + 1 for the 1 JAC lift, great bit of kit

I'm not sure I would have mounted that drift remote on the inside of the hand guard knowing how flimsy they are, one accidental hard press on the remote and that might be a broken guard..?

  6. +2 for the I Jack lift. Use it all the time. And the Scottoiler is a great bit of kit to.

  7. And there is, or was when I ordered it, 10% off for forum members. That pretty much cancels out the p&p on a large, very heavy, package.

Still not sure why I would want to swap my brand new, supplied and fitted free on bike collection, chain, and sprockets, for a DID one though? Maybe in a few years and many, many thousands of miles, when it finally wears out despite the Scottie extending it's life about four times longer than without. (Figures from 33 years of continual motorcycling, the majority of them with, rather than without, a Scottoiler.) Jon.
