  4. Despise this sort of behavior, maybe I'm lacking my "man" gene but shooting a large animal for sport just sickens me.

Bet he'll be getting payback for a while.

America is full of nutters of every persuasion and they can all pop down to Wall Mart and buy guns.

  7. it's an age thing the skin keeps growing but the bone diminishes. :Angelic::smile:

  8. I think to have the right to use weapons on an animal. 1st you should have to fight the animal bare handed. Whoever wins that one has the right to bear arms in the next round.

  9. I enjoy shooting and do a lot of clay pigeon shooting, as well as target shooting etc. Occasionally I do some pest control for people when asked - shooting rabbits / rats / pigeons that kind of thing. Any rabbits / pigeons I shoot usually go in the pot so they arnt wasted. But thats where I draw the line. I just dont see the point in shooting an animal just for the sake of it and dont see where theres a "thrill" or even fun in shooting something like that poor lion. I even struggle to get my head around pheasant shoots where they breed birds specifically to then be scared into flying over a bunch of guys with guns who blast them out of the sky.

  10. and wumin. the wife's been on many deer shoots. some vegy she is.

  11. Especially as you can hardly refer to your success as a 'hunt' , poor bloody lion has been suckered into a trap then shoot with a f'ing arrow.
The stupid yank tool will probably be bragging how he stalked, hunted and killed it with is bow.

  12. Let's not believe its just Yanks, there are stupid yankers from every country who travel to distant lands to kill the local wildlife. Plenty of big game hunters from UK - come to think of it, didn't we invent big game hunting as something to pass the time in our colonies?

  13. Does America extradite to Zimbabwe ??

  14. This tosser killed a lion just to be able to say he had done it. Anyone who kills just for the sake of killing has something seriously wrong with their phycological make up. This wasn't even hunting. The poor old lion - who was, by all accounts quite friendly and used to being around people - was lured away from his home with food, purely so he would be an easy target for a dumb-f**k American with far more money than sense.
The dick-head obvously thought he would be able to go home and brag about his exploits to his (equally moronic) friends.
Personally I think he should have his bollox removed with a rusty chainsaw - that way he won't pollute the gene-pool by producing shag-wit offspring...

  15. And as for his argument that he thought the "hunt" was legal and licenced...
So what ? Killing just for the sake of killing is wrong. Killing an endangered spicies is doubly wrong. Only a total f**k-wit could fail to see that !

  16. Killing for food, self defence, maybe even conservation in some cases , is understandable but killing for fun is imo sick. Even worse is the fact that according to reports it was a slow and painful death. There can be no justification for that at all.

  17. It is just wrong, on so many different levels.

And to use a bow and arrow on a lion ?????

  18. wonder how much he'd pay to hunt a giant panda in China, where if caught, you're likely to get the death penalty ?

  19. there's a couple up here he could hunt. it's quite a big enclosure, so should be more of a challenge for him.
