1200 Kriega Tank

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by MotoNik, Aug 11, 2015.

  1. Hi Folks,

Thinking about getting a Kriega "Tank" harness and US10 for use as a tank bag. Just wondering if anyone else has the Tank fitted to their 1200, and whether they have any photos? I'm just curious to see how it fits over the step at the rear of the fuel tank.

I've considered some of the tankbags that clip on round the filler cap, but they seem extremely easy to steal...

    Thanks!

  2. I tried it, the tank shape doesn't lend itself to the harness, and it's too long.

    Didn't work for me!

  3. I have one fitted to my dvt but I'm not overly impressed

  4. With the SW Motech bags you can buy a locking pin that prevents the bag being removed

  5. Lets see if I can post a picture. I have it as well and it is a little long but does work. US10 is a little sloppy if not full of stuff and the design makes it not so easy to access stuff. I saw an Altrider bag on a Multistrada that I think looks really good.

  6. Thank you for those! Is that the US10? It's bigger than I expected. Will check out the Altrider bag...

  7. Yes that is the US 10. It was stuffed pretty full there.

  8. If ur purpose is to just use the kriega on the multi tank and not anywhere else or on another bike, I wouldn't bother and get a purpose built tank bag system for multi. I.e bagalux/bagster with cross'r bag. Brilliant bit of kit.

  9. Yep, I think I'll look at alternatives - I love Kriega stuff, but it looks kind of ungainly. I'm leaning more and more towards the Givi that clips on around the filler cap.

    Thanks everyone!
