Standard 916 Decals

  1. I'm going to respray the fairings on the 916.
I'm looking for the standard "Ducati 916 Desmoquattro" decals for the left and right fairings.
Ducati quote £70 for both which isn't too bad, but just wondering if anyone has tried the decals from anywhere different? (they seem quite a bit cheaper elsewhere, but I'm guessing the detail might not be as good - so just not worth risking it?).

Be interested to know if you've bought the standard decals from anywhere other than Ducati.

  2. Sorry can't help but I wouldn't bother risking it for a few quid relatively.

If you order the correct ones from Ducati you know they will be exactly correct in size, colour, font, thin-ness of decal, etc.

Some of the aftermarket ones I've seen look SO crap, more like thick stickers...

  3. Hi There,

I've bought Ducati 748 stickers (full set) in the original font, much like you've described. My intention is to do the same because my bike is a '98 and is kinda on the cusp of the font change and I much prefer the old stickers.

The guys to speak to are 'The Image Works'

    The Image Works Vinyl Graphics

Best to phone them and describe what you're after. I also bought a set of old font Monster stickers for a black 750, which is pretty specialist. They delivered the goods.

Can't remember cost, but just give them a buzz. Definitely less than you were quoted by Ducati and superb quality.

  4. +1 for Image works, I used them for the graphics when I rebuilt my SP4.
