Mrs Mervyn used my birthday as an excuse to go to Alfs Motorcycles yesterday.She said she wanted me to get some new gloves,but I knew she wanted to look for something new to amuse her.We looked at the Kawasaki H2,and indeed heard one.She was quite impressed by the shiny metallic paint finish.When she found out that they were all sold, and deposits were being taken for delivery next feb,she lost interest. By this time the sales director had sussed her out and wheeled out the perfect bike-a W800 finished in maroon and cream.This she thought was rather fine and had lots of nice engineering detail.I thought she was going to buy it there and then.No,this one sold as well. We did get the new gloves,and then went down to the beach at East Worthing,had a cup of tea,watched the world go by,sat in the park. A very nice afternoon.Today I am having a steak meal cooked for me,and tomorrow my daughter is coming home to visit.
