Civilian staff employed by plod have been given cars with blue lights and sirens despite having no powers to use them. and another thing. did you know the police/fire service and i think ambulance service is vat exempt in England.wales and northern ireland? not up here. any idea why? it amounts to about £50mill

I am sure most realise that making the public services pay VAT on goods means the taxpayer has to give it back, except with interest as there is the cost of processing. Or maybe thats too simple a concept for some to grasp...

i was chatting to somebody today who was stopped by an unmarked police car coming over glencoe in the middle of the night. she didn't stop until she pulled into glencoe village in front of the police office. a white bmw with a police, pull over display in the back window. told her she was gonna get done with dangerous driving and failure to stop?. she politely told them to ram it, there was no way she was gonna stop in the middle of no ware in the middle of the night. and if any one is gonna get done it would be them. little guy glasgow accent, this is starting to sound familiar, starts waving his arms around and threatening her with this and that. went very quiet after she gave her occupation. lawyer. yip it was dallmaly cop. he has been shifted from oban to fortwilliam. no apology no ticket. i have had dealings with this guy, a proper bellend and been forced to report him already. wonder where they will send him next.
