1200 Dual Headlight Beam Mod?

  1. Hi fellas. Been looking for the dual headlight beam mod for my 2010 Multi online but can't find it. The website which was showing it (can't remember the blokes name) is no longer available.
    After riding home in the dark/heavy rain last night I could really do with it. Holding the main beam flash switch did the trick but that won't do it any good over a period of time.
    Any help appreciated.

  4. easy mod did it to my 2010 well worth it.

    get some osram nightbreaker bulbs as well

  6. Hello all, I'd like to do this to my recently acquired 2010. I don't know if I'm being thick, but having read the link, it says a small electrical component is needed in the loom. The article doesn't say exactly what the component is. I assume it's a diode? If so can anyone help with the specs of the diode and best place to purchase please?

  7. Here's the link to the diode. I got 10 from Amazon for next to nothing. Maplin electronics will probably do them. Make sure to get the right size spade connectors for the bike as I went wrong there first time.

  10. Didn't take me too long. If you get nothing, swap the diode round (swap the loom) as it only works one way. Personally, I also didn't disconnect the battery as the thought of setting up my Ohlins mechatronic ECU settings filled me with dread. Didn't cause me any problems.

  11. I've just done mine this morning as well. Typically my diode was the wrong way round initially. After swapping that it was sorted. Thanks for the advice.

  13. I had my first midnight ride home after a night out in London. Massive difference with no streetlights, Osram night breaker unlimiteds & the diode mod. May still get some aux lights just for kicks.

    I'm just liking adding electronic things to the bike now I have the touratech power supply hooked up. You'll see me with a TV/multimedia system above the satnav soon.

  14. I'm hoping this mod should transfer over to the 2015 MTS DVT which the standard (Non-S/Hook) model has the same dip beam only or main beam only halogen headlights. Anyone know or tried it on the '15 Dvt? Ta.
