I run a 1098R track bike and I'm thinking about a set of lurverly carbon wheels. My OE wheels are pretty dam good so I was wondering if it's worth the dosh. Will I notice a marked improvement? I've heard a lot of good things about them. Thanks for any input.
on a track bike it will make massive difference to how fast you can turn the bike is the 1098r wheel the same as the 'S' forged wheel?
You will notice a marked improvement. If you can afford it I'd say go for it. Best value performance improvement you can do IMHO.
Yes, even on the road my 1098 is a completely different bike. You'll be stunned with how good they are. Word of warning though once you've had them there's no going back to anything else.
That the weight loss and improved steering accuracy will allow u to react to danger quicker and keep u safe? That or..... "I'm sorry, kitchens to the left, bedroom upstairs" ;-) brave man....
its gonna help in most places anywhere where you have to flick he bike quickly while accelerating you would feel the most difference exiting turn 12 at Valencia and lots of Brno spring to mind!
Went through the same dilema as yourself recently questioning whether the money they cost would see a noticeable improvement. Got the same advice as you are getting . I have no regrets a huge difference .Acceleration improved ,which was a surprise, but the bike is significantly more nimble. If you can afford it its got to be done
