1098 Code 19.1

  1. Out on the bike this afternoon and lucky to be at a dealers when the bike would not start and came up with code 19.1 Starter.

    Just a ticking noise, therefore could this be bad connection or starter solenoid?

  2. I'd look at the battery leads first, then the solenoid

Try dropping the bike in gear rock the bike then clutch in and try starting again, i had a similar problem on my 1198 for some reason it would not turn over tried that then it started i did not have the problem again Duc shop said starter motor had stuck? mind you i used to have to do that on my Triumph Herald back in 1978 that shit would never start! whoops showing my age:Arghh:
