For the price of a secondhand Ohlins, you could get a new Maxton, which comes set up for your weight. Just got one for my carby. Dont think the standard setup Ohlins is that amazing and could do with improving frm what I have heard. Plus a secondhand one may be tired as they will be about 10+ years old.
Thanks. I've looked at Maxton, Hagon etc but I really also want the ride height adjustability if I'm going to upgrade. The bling factor is also a reason if I'm being honest
As long as the Ducati branded ohlins is in tip top condition, then it can be set up to handle very well.
Thanks but I'm already in the process of trying to get a 748 tank and a Panigale rear end to fit my Monster, so I'm trying to avoid any more drama on my already extremely non-standard 900
Mine's an S4 and there's not so much space under there as on the air cooled bikes but if you have any useful info about doing the tank swap and/or can recommend someone to do it (I don't have any workshop facilities for doing the bits and bobs of fabrication work) I'm all ears please I started a thread about it the other day. For instance, I can't find a filter cone kit for the S4..... S4 Airbox Removal/filter Cones Advice Needed Please | Ducati Forum
No idea where you are based, but if you can get along to a desmo due race there are loads with the conversion done. All aircooled tho
I might just do that. I'm in North London so Brands and Silverstone are the easiest for me to get to. My boys love bike racing and Ducatis so if there are any races nearby before the end of the season we might drop in.
