Hi all I've recently got a 2010 MTS ST and am delighted with the bike....apart from the back brake. I'm going to adjust it up a bit which will hopefully solve the problem but is it just me or do you have to use extreme pressure to get anything out of it? Also does anyone know of anything you can get to increase the lever pedal size as for me it's way to close to the engine. Cheers
Don't know how or why but I got my 2010 ST in March and bake brake has been brilliant from the start. I seem to be one of the few. I can get the ABS kicking in if I really press on it but under normal use it work brilliant on corner entry. I use it more than the front when pressing on. Race spec fluid seems to be one thing people do, to stop it boiling due to the heat.
Don't get too hung up on it otherwise you'll be disappointed, Ducatis don't do back brakes.....well, not very well
@Fergusdog There are loads of posts on this topic, which has been discussed ad nauseam for years. May I suggest you do some searches?
Yep it was only after I posted it I saw lots of stuff. I've only just joined the forum so I hadnt realised. Cheers
I'm telling you all, my multistrada has one! Must have been swapped with the rear brake from a jap model in the showroom.
Put Carbone Lorraine brake pads in. I put them in my 15 year old ST4 a few weeks ago and I can tell you for sure they work better than on the 2012 Multistada that I test rode the other day.
