Really ?, France have dealt to us more than once when they were unfancied for the win, that's the problem with the All Blacks, they tend to bring the best out of a team.
What's everyone's feeling on this? There are over 40 NZ players in the RWC not playing for the All Blacks, plus all the coaches etc., is it fair/right?, is it harmful to domestic rugby in their host countries? Or does it raise the level of the domestic players?
It's a good subject Dave, the other code in Australia is being over run with Islanders from Fiji, Solomons etc The flavor of sport changes & evolves all the time, not always for the better mind you, happens with everything. My cousin is an Aussie living in Christchurch, married to a Kiwi lady and their children can recite the members of the All Blacks like their own family. knocked us out of 3 of the 7 world cups so far and we only managed to beat em by 1 point at eden park (my home grounds) in the last one. they were the worst team to ever make a final... i'm a lil worried if Ireland finish top of their group as we will meet france in the quarters.. but hope we do meet em as fingers crossed we will see Ireland at the semi's....... a game that i now have 2 TICKETS FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tbh i really hope its Ireland we meet and as bad a kiwi as i may be i wouldn't even care (well maybe a lil) if they win... as long as they went on to win the tournament!!!! it would only get on my tits if a team with a few kiwis in it and a kiwi coach beat us but it aint happened yet (has it?)! its been going on for years aint it? well befoer rugby went pro players where going abroad to the likes of japan and "working" for company's like zerox and improving the caliber of footie over there. i think from a sporting point of view if the irb want to put money into developing rugby nations so they can afford a decent coach and players are willing to relocate to realize their aspirations it can only be a good thing. much as i want to see the AB's win every game 107 nil games are not so entertaining. i dont know about anyone else but i get a warm glow when a supposedly shit team makes good!
