chaps. Anyone know where I can get some black dzus fasteners? I've bought some on eBay from 'carbon trader' and they are not black, more brown/army green colour. Anyone bought any that were actually black? Cheers!

Cheers. Pretty annoyed that these are listed as black, and the photo looks black but they just dark metal coloured, patchy brown. Might use pro-bolt as they'll be the best quality I suspect.
yes they fit on 916 types. Different lengths are needed for different locations I think. I use multiple lengths on my race panels. Aluminium ones should be ignored, plated are ok, stainless good, chrome ok, titanium lovely.Dzus Fasteners
Possible there are the rare exceptions but basically yes I would say so, although you may have to play.around with which ones you need
To put Dzus type fasteners on a fairing not designed for them, you would need to install the backing plates to accept them. If you have frame mounted lugs with slide in plates to take threaded fixings it would be straightforward. Otherwise it would not be simple.
I'm surprised as CT would have been where I'd have sent you. I've always been very pleased with their stuff. They're a decent outfit. If you'r'e not happy have you given them a shout? Might be worth it as they're quite protective of their reputation for quality and should help you out. Patchy brown is not, as you correctly say, black!
