Meanwhile, back at the OP... My opinion, for what it's worth (not a lot, according to some people) is that you should never say anything on a forum that you wouldn't be prepared to say face-to-face. Now, for some people, that doesn't limit them very much as they are probably just as obnoxious in real life, so that has to be tempered by the application of the same rules as would apply there - ie the laws relating to causing offence. (Why do some people think it's OK to be offensive, racist, ageist, sexist and lots of other sorts of -ist just because they are sitting behind a computer keyboard?).
Because it's funny Seriously - who gives a rats? I mean - why do we always have to protect the sensitive? And how often do people take written or verbal comms the wrong way anyway? All the bleedin time! Life's too short, have a laugh or don't, each to their own, which is often very different. Not like this is some Sunday School religious well being type bollox forum anyway is it?
I wouldn't write anything here that I wouldn't say IRL, quite the opposite. Ageing is a terrible thing. Messes with both men and women. Once the last of the testosterone has gone men often become annoying Victor Meldrew killjoy types always muttering to themselves about how wrong everyone else is, and how foolish the young are for daring to try and have a laugh and enjoy themselves. And what about all that loud music? Terrible mate, terrible. You can get treatment for it you know.
ummm... 83 was my school leaving year. I didn't leave university until I was in my 30s. My education remains on going..... until my last breath.

How can you be on several forums? Why would you want to be on several forums? I write enough crap on this one (and god knows I read enough of it) to be entirely sufficient. I can't even imagine how hideous life would be if I got involved in another forum too. Eeeeek! Consequently I have no experience to offer. This is the only forum I have known. But the general rule of any internet comment writing is to suggest: 1. That you have a huge todger 2. That your todger is bigger than that of any other member (fnarr fnarr). 3. To belittle other people 4. Be needlessly blunt and aggressive. 5. Employ macho language to show how hard you are. Bearing in mind the above, this place is remarkably civilised and entertaining.
