Funny you should say that, we were working on this with the OP but he may not want to now if he's going to ditch it
Times my issue. Work all day and weekends get filled by SWMBO. How long does it take to get to them roughly? Plus 20 mins to reinput the ohlins scu settings [emoji31]
Same here, been trying to do my Aprilia RSV for 3 weeks Once we know the lengths and terminal requirements it usually takes 1 to 2 weeks to get the prototype through. Fitting takes from 45 mins on the simple systems to up to 1 to 2 hours for the 999 kit (usually). Why do the ECU settings have to be re-imputed after battery disconnection - seems a bit poo!
ECU settings revert to default on disconnection of power. The ohlins 'special' ECU that does the skyhook type on the fly doodah, requires all settings to be set to '1' to be active. That takes an age and gives you a sore thumb.
"ECU settings revert to default on disconnection of power. " I disconnect and take out my battery every winter and my mechatronic Ohlins ECU readout still says 1 when I reconnect battery in the spring , if I remember correctly .
Yep, I disconnected my battery recently to install a Touratech box and the suspension settings all stayed just fine - only the usual clock and DTC re-enable needed.
Awaiting a service slot. One issue was balancing weights missing on rear wheel, they must have flown off. I noticed that myself but the engine still sounds different and randomly vibrates a bit more so we'll see. Still rides fine and I've done a couple of hundred miles like it as I'm of the mind of 'better it go under warranty'. With my warranty end looming I wouldn't put it past them to tell me it's fine and then it go after warranty.
Do you have crash bars? 1200 - Strange Tinkle | Ducati Forum one of mine was lose drove me bonkers for ages ended up hitting my bike to find the noise
Nope. It's definitely engine. Doesn't sound as smooth and you can feel it through the bars, pegs and rear brake lever. As I've said before, I notice it more riding around London traffic where the temps pick up.
Yes Ive been over the bike with a tooth comb. Hence how I found the balancing weights missing on the rear. I spent a bit of time doing a few little bits on it (fixed the broken mount on rear light). It's a really random fault that is like sitting in traffic listening and feeling like the engine has no oil. Then by the next set of lights it's gone. Weird
had something similar on me old fugly and only when the misses was on it. sounds like no oil pressure, a rattle from the n/side when accelerating. turned out to be an exhaust mounting.
