  1. Anyone been to Disneyland Paris and have any useful tips ?

I included the word "useful"deliberately lol.

I realise it's going to be expensive for food, and I've been told about fastrack tickets. Anything else ? My girlfriend talks French so that should help

  2. I've not been. I am sure the kids will have a great time.

  3. Errrr...... I feel at this point I need to point out that it wasn't my choice to go Disney , it was my girlfriend .

    and we are without children.

  4. Ahh, someone else seduced by the couples advert on the telly :D

Enjoy your nice trip away, with hundreds of other peoples screaming ankle biters keeping you company :Bag:

  5. If you use the metro be very sure you buy the right ticket for the zones you want to travel through. Have the wrong ticket and it is an immediate fine. Several years ago it was 50€. Paris is no worse than any other tourist city but pickpockets are very active at the moment and I speak from (recent) experience. Andy

  6. Went there a good few years ago,
Evening meals were bit high, before we went into the park we would go into the train station which is right next to the park and get snacks for the day, sandwiches, coke, crisps etc they are much cheaper as they are not owned by Disney,

  7. I've been with the family, here are a few tips:

    1) Get a park map and plan your day in advance, when the gates open you and your partner split up and get all the fast track tickets on the rides you want to go on then meet up again. Don't just arrive at the gate unplanned as you will spend the whole day roaming around the park standing in queues.
    2) There are water drinking points so take an empty plastic drinking bottle and refill it, food & drinks are premium price.
    3) stay for the parade & fire works at the end of the day, it's worth it.
    4) Go on the Universal studios simulator rides, they are even better than the roller coaster stuff sometimes.

  8. If you're in Paris and you like theme parks, consider Parc Asterix as an option. Helps if you know the characters (and speak a little French). My kids (years ago) made me take them to Disney and they preferred Parc Asterix. As did I, possibly because they sell beer.

  9. Yep, food and drink in there very overpriced and pretty crap, far better to bring your own. There is a Maccy D's at the very back thats reasonable but unfortunately can be seriously packed. Get the fast track tickets for sure and get in there early! great fun though, they kids will love it!

  10. Top tip - honestly...
Go to Florida instead. The place isn't full of surly French people. The weather is better. They speak English (more or less). And it's probably no more expensive overall.

  11. May I suggest de Efteling theme park in Holland? It's near Tilburg. The kids really enjoyed our visit, several years ago admittedly. Plus the place is full of lovely Dutch people who all speak English.

Basic ticket for family of four = Euros 136.

  12. just say NON NON NON and go somewhere real....

  13. Well we are back...

It wasn't busy really at all, food wasn't too expensive , and I managed not to fall out with anyone. Longest queue was about a hour but everything else was 20 mins ish.

A total of 850 miles round trip in the Car wasn't too bad either. The tunnel is really easy to use and quick. We are now planning a proper euro trip somewhere else for next year now I know it's so easy

  14. How did the proposal go?
