in what way? bob a job or through training?

 

My lad did 5 laps of the play ground on his scooter a few weeks back. Cost me £1 per lap but he enjoyed it.

(joking of course, all the best with it, seems like a very noble thing to do )

 

A mate of mine sent a round robin email and letter, saying that his son had grown another foot since the last sponsored run he had done and was intending to do another run............

..........it must have taken him ages to hop the last one........

Ive sponsored three kids for the last twenty odd years,and they are still costing!!!!No wonder Im broke.

 

cant imagine there is any cons to his unless you find your circumstances change.

 

I set up this a few years ago for my two daughters. I wanted them to have some understanding of what it is like to live as a child in an underdeveloped country.

I looked into a lot of different charities and many have a strong religious bias which didn't appeal to me.
I ended up with Plan International and we sponsored a girl in Senegal for around 8 years until she reached 16 , when we switched to another child in a different area.

The first one was great, my daughters sent letters and photos back and forwards and I think they appreciated the dialogue. I think it cost about £15 a month
