Sponsoring A Child.

  1. Anyone done this or know of someone who has. Any chance you can share your experiences and any pros and cons.

  3. My lad did 5 laps of the play ground on his scooter a few weeks back. Cost me £1 per lap but he enjoyed it.

  5. A mate of mine sent a round robin email and letter, saying that his son had grown another foot since the last sponsored run he had done and was intending to do another run............

    ..........it must have taken him ages to hop the last one........

  7. Ive sponsored three kids for the last twenty odd years,and they are still costing!!!!No wonder Im broke.

  9. I set up this a few years ago for my two daughters. I wanted them to have some understanding of what it is like to live as a child in an underdeveloped country.

    I looked into a lot of different charities and many have a strong religious bias which didn't appeal to me.
    I ended up with Plan International and we sponsored a girl in Senegal for around 8 years until she reached 16 , when we switched to another child in a different area.

    The first one was great, my daughters sent letters and photos back and forwards and I think they appreciated the dialogue. I think it cost about £15 a month
