  1. Anyone have any experience in this? got 300 sheets to lay on steel joists at 400 centers. have only used a powder actuated nail gun once several years back and cant remember how fast they are. think they hold 10 nails which means alot of reloading (1500 times!) need to be laying 60 sheets a day min.. possible? it is one big floor so very few cuts and i have 2 laborers ...

  2. Cant you get some foreign git to do it for a couple of quid.Oh,........I guess someone did.:tearsofjoy:

  3. Hilti gun

  4. Depends on how thick the steel joists are and how many fixings per sheet are required,a good hire shop will have something suitable, easy with 2 labours(as long as you dont get 2 knuckle draggers) all you have to do is pull the trigger :upyeah:

  5. well at 400 centers and fixings every 300 that 35 bullets per sheet..looking at the pics ive been sent it looks like about 5mm steel.. the client is supplying a hilti pang. was more interested in how many bullets per min they fire. i do remember them being loud as fvk with a recoil and if held on an angle a pita but as i said its been a long time since using..

  6. interesting... lol... wanker

  7. this country was built by foreign gits... well the good bits were...

  8. thats the fucker... client has bought one £2000.00 including 8000 nails (so he says) i know it holds 10 rounds but cant seem to find how many rounds per min it can fire.. i do know 8000 aint enough and i will have to reload 1050 times excluding misfires...

  9. Only used a spit gun,ear plugs and ear defenders and some padded gloves, you will be fucked useing one all day, make sure you have 2 batteries and plenty of gas and a spare gun,not the most reliable of tools.

  10. They don't use gas , they use a bullet type cartridge and you get a lot of misfires but they are they are the only time efficient way of fixing wood to steel

  11. thats right.. pang, powder actuated nail gun. they have a cartridge similar to that of a .22 rifle... (not air rifle) and i hope there's not a lot of misfires! with my old rifles back home the misfires came from cheap ammo... dont know if there is a cheap nail option for these but if there is i can guarantee that is what the client has bought!!!

  12. i have used hilti guns quite frequently to fix wall starters to steels , but I prefer self tapping screws . The self tappers take longer but are more user friendly. If you get the screws with the 8 or 10 mm bolt head you just fix them with a cordless driver

  13. yea dont mind the self tappers but not over 10,000 of them!

  14. You do have 2 labourers!

  15. good point! i'll just give em 40mm panel pins and hit the pub! (im not joking)

  16. Blimey they must be good!

  17. przepraszam?

  18. Excuse me ?

  19. not bad! that or sorry,,,,
