08 cbr600rr 18000 miles 3 owners very tidy condition with fresh mot and new tires.. whats it worth? a guy i do work for's son is thinking of selling and im thinking of buying not that i have the money but thats another story! have had a bit of a look about but not sure what the real money should be..
that aint cheap! lol... seen em for 3500- 4500 private sale but unsure whats a good buy and what not... have offered the guy 2500 (which he has turned down!)
I bet he has. I reckon you're about a grand short there if its a good un. This is older but its one owner and has a few extras. Private seller and similar mileage http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classif...ostcode=dt110pd&page=1&sort=default&logcode=p
yea money grabbing bugger... he indicated he would take 2800 a few months back but i didnt have the cash. now i do (ish) (very ish) i thought id offer a lil less as its that time of year but he's come back with "there is 03's going for 3000 mate" may be but i dont think they would sell! wish i had the cash back then.. unsure of exact value. i want it for a track/shit day bike as i want to ride but cant keep using the 748 day to day given what i have spent and the time on it
I just sold a 2005 Cbr 600 Rr to a dealer for £3000! ( 9200 miles, full service history, excellent condition ) I'd say yr offer of £2500 was way off
I'm after a track bike too. I don't think you need to spend that much. And even £2500 is a lot for a winter hack.
lol ya probably right.. well you are right.. but his dad (my sometimes boss) said as it was me he'd take 2800 but being part Scottish i tried for a lil less! so what are we saying? whats a fair price? have asked his dad to ask him his bottom dollar but it dont matter really as i only have 2500 of borrowed funds!
Look at completed listings on eBay, that will give you an idea of prices, I would say it's got to be worth £3650 private sale.
it was more that i thought i could get it for x and after checking it out i now kinda want it! im sure plenty of bikes come up in the off season for a good price but its nice to know who ya dealing with which was another reason for wanting this one.. but hey ho
he no longer wants 2800 apparently.. think i fucked up with my cheeky bid today and he's looked online at current values... this has only been unfolding in the last few hours and im waiting for his dad to come back to me.. tbh if i had of got it for 2500 there would have been scope for a profit but i will still need a bike!
A mate of mine wears em (urbens) and gets cribbed for it, not many know he was in the FFL, he don't tell em  :Finger: ead:
I must admit, one of the reasons I haven't bought a 2K 750 Gixer track bike already is that as a track day newbie part of me fancies buying a road bike and tracking it as it is at first, partly to make sure I'll get the bug (and to sell it in the unlikely event I don't), partly because I'm a road rider and its my instinct not to buy a bike that's been ragged to death, and also because I'm a finnicky bastard and I like the idea of a blank canvas that I can mod to my requirements even though it makes no economic sense. That and because I'm waiting an insurance assessor's verdict on an R1 that's had a slide down the road. An independent workshop's got it and checked it over. Engine and chassis all good but bodywork trashed. It should be a write-off and if it can be bought back at a good price he'll track prep it and I can have first refusal.
